Finding and seeing (4)

  1. New: a global search with Ctrl+K: envelopes, accounts, transactions, scheduled payments, settings and actions, from any screen and ignoring accents.
  2. New: a tidier design across the app: fewer repeated buttons, one style for buttons and "?" help, and fewer text sizes.
  3. New: "Content width" in Settings → General: Full (uses the whole screen), Wide or Centered.
  4. Tips appear in a corner without covering anything, and only now and then; hovering pauses their timer.

Budget (6)

  1. New: income dated in the future counts in "Ready to assign" once its day arrives, and the app tells you: "+ $X arrives Oct 30".
  2. Cleaner envelope rows with a single big number; empty envelopes look calmer.
  3. "Next 30 days" has one "Record" per payment and the rest in a ⋯ menu.
  4. An envelope's panel closes with a click outside or Esc.
  5. A by-date goal without a date no longer says it was saved.
  6. The debt envelope of a paid-off card starts at zero and doesn't change "Ready to assign".

Transactions (8)

  1. New: filters sit on one line and the active ones show as tags you remove with ×.
  2. The list uses the whole screen with the filter bar pinned on top; multi-select is clearer and "Delete" sits apart.
  3. "In" and "Out" follow the period you're viewing and no longer count transfers between your accounts.
  4. "Last 90 days" no longer skips a day, and "This month" matches what you export even when the month changes.
  5. New transactions can no longer be added to a closed account (editing old ones still works).
  6. Deleting a transfer warns you if the other side was already reconciled.
  7. Changing only the envelope of a reconciled transaction no longer gives a false mismatch warning.
  8. A starting balance with a debt envelope can now be edited.

Recording (7)

  1. Every dialog follows the same recipe: fields in the same order, "Cancel" and the main button at the bottom right, and dates with the month written out.
  2. A refund no longer shows as "Income" when you record or edit it.
  3. A merchant suggestion uses the whole expense, not just one part of a split.
  4. A transfer between your accounts is no longer suggested as a merchant.
  5. The suggested amount no longer mixes different currencies.
  6. A back-dated transfer warns you when the saved rate is from a later date.
  7. When typing a merchant, "cafe" now finds "Café".

Scheduled payments (1)

  1. Changing a payment's frequency (weekly to monthly) no longer misplaces the next charge.

Bank imports (5)

  1. The import wizard keeps its size across the 3 steps and shows which step you're on.
  2. In an Excel file that is really a web page, "-10" is read as −10, not +4510.
  3. Accents are read correctly in those Excel files and in OFX files that declare another encoding.
  4. For a currency with more than 2 decimals, "12.345" is read as 12.345, not 12345.
  5. The "€", "£" and "₹" symbols in the currency column are recognized.

Reports and currencies (8)

  1. New: the period at the top drives every card, each one says which period it shows, and wide screens fit up to 3 columns.
  2. "Spending by envelope" and "Compare months" are now one card with two tabs.
  3. "Net worth today" no longer counts future-dated money.
  4. "Cushion" no longer counts tomorrow's expenses and averages spending more accurately.
  5. Closed accounts still appear in the charts' history.
  6. The starting balance no longer counts as the month's income.
  7. "Unrealized gain" is now called "Exchange-rate effect".
  8. The accounts total warns you when a currency rate is missing.

Settings (4)

  1. Settings arranged in sections (My budget, Appearance, Help and notices) and, on wide screens, in several columns.
  2. In Envelopes and groups each row has a ⋯ menu; "See copies" is always visible.
  3. Settings tab names change when you switch language.
  4. Only the most recent notice can "Undo", so you don't undo something else by mistake.
